You do not need to be a member of the university of Lausanne.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Should I pay a membership fee?<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">All members of Unil&#8217;AHME have to pay a yearly membership fee. Members of other HEMA groups benefit from a deduction.<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Yearly fee: 160.- CHF<\/li>\n<li>One term only: 80.- CHF<\/li>\n<li>Reduced fee: 40.- CHF<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>What do we do?<\/h4>\n<p>We wish to contribute to the development of the Historical European Martial Arts through several activities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Academic research:<\/strong> reading and writing articles to develop our knowlege on the sources and practice of HEMA.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Weekly practice:<\/strong> experiment and train through the interpretation of the sources.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Do I need some equipment for the training?<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It is not mandatory to have its own equipment: simple clothing for indoor sport is enough. The association will lend the necessary equipment. We do encourage the members to invest in their equipment for confort.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Do I need to be in good physical condition for the trainings?<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The trainings are open to everyone, and everyone can follow as much as they can. A minimum of coordination is required, especially at the beginning. We do encourage sparring.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Should I have studied history, archeology or philology to understand the sources?<\/h4>\n<p>You do not need to be an expert in any of these branches to participate. The sources are accompanied by secondary litterature.
